Overview
The island where Greek tradition and international glamour share the same whitewashed lanes. By day it is golden beaches, seaside lunches and boat trips to the sacred ruins of Delos; by night, Chora fills with music, candlelight and some of the best people watching in the Mediterranean. Few places do both so well.

Chora and Little Venice
The island's capital is a maze of white lanes, bougainvillea and hidden chapels, ending at Little Venice, where old captains' houses stand with their balconies over the water.
Beaches for Every Mood
From the famous clubs of Psarou and Paradise to the quieter sands of Agios Sostis and Fokos. Whether you want a daybed and a DJ or an empty cove, Mykonos has a beach for it.
Sacred Delos Next Door
A short boat ride away lies Delos, birthplace of Apollo and one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece. An entire ancient city, open to the sky.
Mykonos wears its reputation lightly. Yes, this is the island of beach clubs, superyachts and nights that end at sunrise, but walk into Chora in the early morning and you find something older: fishermen mending nets by the harbour, pelicans wandering the lanes and the famous windmills standing quietly above Little Venice.
The beaches are the island's great currency. The south coast runs from one golden bay to the next, some given over to daybeds and music, others, like Agios Sostis in the north, still wonderfully bare. Knowing which beach suits which day, and which wind, is exactly the kind of local knowledge that changes a Mykonos trip.
Then there is Delos, the uninhabited island a short ride across the water, once the sacred centre of the Aegean world. Wandering its ruined temples, mosaics and marble lions with a private guide, half an hour from the beach clubs, is one of the great contrasts in Greek travel.
With our local team, Mykonos runs smoothly from the first transfer: a villa or suite matched to your style, sunbeds reserved at the right beach, a table at the tavernas locals actually use and a skipper for the day you want to disappear along the coast. You arrive, and the island is ready for you.

Good To Know
Food
Mykonos eats far better than its party image suggests. Look for kopanisti, the island's peppery cheese, louza cured pork, fresh fish grilled by the water and long seaside lunches that drift into the afternoon. From simple tavernas to world class dining, the range here is the widest in the Cyclades.
Weather & Getting Around
The season runs long, with July and August at full volume and May, June and September offering the same sunshine with more space. The meltemi wind can blow hard in high summer, which is when the sheltered south beaches earn their keep. There is an international airport and fast ferries from Athens, and a private driver saves real time on busy summer roads.
