Terms and Conditions
Last updated 21 September 2026
Please read these terms before you book. They set out what you can expect from us and what we ask of you when we arrange a journey in Greece.
1. Who we are
GreeceVisits ("we", "us") is the Greece brand of Italy Vacation Specialists. We design and arrange tailor-made journeys, tours, retreats, accommodation, private transfers and cruises in Greece, working with local suppliers we know personally.
These terms apply to every enquiry, quote and booking made through www.greecevisits.travel, by email or by phone. By paying a deposit you accept them on behalf of everyone travelling with you.
2. Enquiries and quotes
An enquiry is not a booking. After you contact us we reply with a proposal and a written quote. Quotes are valid for the period stated on them (usually 7 days) and are subject to availability at the time you confirm.
Prices are quoted in the currency shown on the quote and include the services listed there. Anything not listed (international flights, visas, travel insurance, personal expenses, gratuities, optional activities) is not included unless the quote says so.
3. Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed when we receive your signed acceptance of the quote and the deposit stated on it. The balance is due by the date on your invoice, normally 60 days before departure. Bookings made inside that window are payable in full at confirmation.
If the balance is not received by the due date we may treat the booking as cancelled by you and apply the cancellation charges in section 5.
Card payments may carry the processing fee shown on the invoice. Bank charges for international transfers are borne by the payer.
4. Changes by you
Tell us in writing as soon as possible if you want to change dates, travellers, hotels or services. We will do our best to accommodate the change and will pass on any cost difference and supplier fees. Changes requested within 30 days of departure may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking.
5. Cancellation by you
Cancellations must be sent in writing to team@greecevisits.travel. The date we receive the notice is the cancellation date. Unless your quote states otherwise, the following charges apply as a percentage of the total price:
- More than 60 days before departure: loss of deposit
- 60 to 31 days before departure: 50%
- 30 to 15 days before departure: 75%
- 14 days or less before departure, or no-show: 100%
Some hotels, villas, cruises and peak-season services have stricter non-refundable conditions. Where that is the case it is stated on your quote and those conditions prevail. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.
6. Changes or cancellation by us
Occasionally a supplier changes or withdraws a service. If that happens we will tell you as soon as we know and offer an alternative of equivalent standard, or a refund of the affected part. If we have to cancel a journey for reasons within our control we will refund everything you have paid us. We are not liable for changes caused by events outside our control (see section 9).
7. Travel documents and health
You are responsible for holding a valid passport, any visas required for Greece and the Schengen area, and for meeting entry and health requirements in force on your travel dates. We can point you to official sources but cannot accept liability for refused entry or missed services caused by documentation.
Please tell us before booking about mobility needs, dietary requirements or medical conditions that could affect the services we arrange.
8. Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, repatriation, personal belongings and activities you plan to take part in is a condition of booking. We may ask for the policy details before departure.
9. Our responsibility
We arrange services supplied by independent hotels, transport companies, guides, boat operators and other suppliers. We select them with care and we are responsible for arranging the services properly, but each supplier provides its service under its own conditions, which you accept when you use it.
We are not liable for loss, injury, delay or additional cost caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, sea conditions, strikes, ferry and flight schedule changes, public authority decisions, natural events, pandemics, or acts or omissions of you or a third party unconnected with the services.
Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the price of the affected services, except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, which is not limited.
10. Ferries, cruises and weather
Island itineraries depend on ferry and boat schedules that can change or be cancelled by the operator or the port authority, especially in strong winds. When that happens we rebook the next available service and adjust the itinerary; extra costs that are not recoverable from the operator are borne by the traveller unless covered by insurance.
11. Behaviour and damage
You are responsible for damage caused by you or your party to accommodation, vehicles or boats and for any charges a supplier makes as a result. Suppliers may refuse to carry on a service where behaviour puts others at risk; no refund is due in that case.
12. Complaints
If something is not right during your journey, contact us immediately at the number on your travel documents so we can put it right on the spot. If a problem is not resolved, write to team@greecevisits.travel within 28 days of your return with the details.
13. Privacy
We use the details you send us to prepare quotes, make bookings and stay in touch about your journey, and we share them only with the suppliers who need them to deliver your services. We do not sell personal data. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at team@greecevisits.travel.
14. Law
These terms and any booking are governed by the law applicable to Italy Vacation Specialists, and disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, without prejudice to consumer rights that cannot be excluded in your country of residence.
