Overview
Hotel Europa crowns Drouva hill, the highest point of Ancient Olympia in the Western Peloponnese, an area the ancients called the Valley of the Gods. From up here the view sweeps over the Sacred Altis and the stadium of the ancient Games, across the Alpheus River valley and the mountains of Arcadia, all the way to the blue of the Ionian Sea. The town centre is a 10-minute walk, the Archaeological Site of Olympia about 20 minutes on foot, and the beaches of the Ionian less than 20 minutes by car. The hotel pairs traditional local architecture with a genuinely family atmosphere: a gourmet tavern called The Garden, a boutique of the family's own organic products, 50 free parking spaces, EV charging and staff who know the hidden corners of the area. Athens is around 3.5 hours away by road, Patras and Kalamata airport about 1.5 hours. The hotel is open all year round.
